Ushers/Sidespeople

Ushering is a social, environmental and liturgical service to the St. Christopher’s community in which we ensuring the building is ready, provide a warm welcome, and assist in the offering and communion. The ushers come early before services to ensure the entryway is uncluttered and clean, that the bathrooms are well stocked and orderly, and that the building is all set for the service. Ushers are usually the first to welcome members and visitors as they enter the building, providing bulletins, answering questions and giving assistance when needed.

Our rotation has each member (except for one who faithfully attends all Sunday services) serving one Sunday per month on average as well as occasional additional services such as weddings, funerals and ‘extra’ Easter and Christmas services.
