Hospitality is defined as the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors or strangers.
Hospitality at St. Christopher’s is one of the best ways to meet people in the church.
Everyone loves a cup of tea or coffee after each service and this is a wonderful way to greet our congregation.
We currently have a 5 week rotating schedule. Each team has a captain and then 4 or 5 members that help on that week.
The schedule is set up for the calendar year so you would know well in advance of the days that your team is on duty.
We occasionally have pot luck lunches and special events that would require extra help.
Each team is also responsible for any special events that occur during their week such as Memorials or Weddings that have receptions following the service.
General Duties include:
Setting up the hall with tables and small seating areas, providing milk, cream and cookies or other baked goods, making tea and coffee, serving refreshments after the service,and cleaning up the kitchen and hall so that it is ready for other groups during the week.
