Mission 109 - New Solar Panel Project

Donate a solar panel- Our goal is to sto raise $109,000. A gift-receiptable  $1,000 donation will buy 1 solar panel. For each $1,000 raised, we will place a paper panel on the model church roof.

Mission Outreach: Installing solar panels is a powerful step toward becoming a NET ZERO Parish -one that lives out our faith through caring for the earth. God's Mission in the World: In our Baptismal vows we promise to "Safeguard the integrity of God's creation". Mission 109 will be the physical symbol for how we live out our values and our fatih to our neighbours and our community.

Why now? By committing to this project now, St. Christophers has qualified fora $25,000 incentive grant from BC Hydro. 

Why Solar? Solar Power generation is the most effective type of project that small community organizations can commit to making a self-sustaining parish and helping reduce carbon emissions. 

Investing in our future: A $1,000 donation for solar panel saves the Church around $41.75 every year.  Our annual hydro cost is approximately  $4,700.93 but with our solar project the new annual cost will drop to approximately $149.65 (small administrative fee).
