It can be hard to be at home especially with young ones who don't understand they can't be with their friends or go to playgrounds or other group activities. Here is a list of things that you can do while at home. This is by no means an exhaustive list, and we do welcome your ideas on how you are staying sane and happy during this time.

#hometasking - based on the British tv show Taskmaster, Alex Horne is giving two tasks a week. Once completed post your completed task on Twitter. These are suitable for all ages, and test your imagination.

Explore.org - the site livestreams things such as the Northern Lights, various African watering holes, etc. Great for kids to see wildlife in their natural habitat.

#TomReadWilson - On Instagram Tom reads poems, bedtime stories and posts videos of other people performing

Clara Parkes - Clara sends out a daily email with something positive or cute. Go to dailyrespite.substack.com to sign up.

Meet virtually with friends using Zoom or other apps.

Take this time to learn a new skill or brush up on an old one. Play music, knit, write, paint or do whatever makes you feel happy and relaxed. Try Duolingo or another language app.

Enjoy theatre offerings on Youtube. The National Theatre at Home offers a play a week, starting every Thursday.

Take a museum tour from your home. Search for museums who are offering this, so you can experience all they have to offer.

We hope you find a way to enjoy this time as much as possible, and stay safe.
