Baby Shower for Rev. Jonathan & Lauren

The End of Summer Potluck had plenty of food and chatter. Thank you to everyone who provided food. There was such an amazing selection of salads, desserts, hors d'oeuvres, sandwiches and hot dishes. We were blessed with so much choice!

After the hearty lunch, the warden's Veronica Loat, Deb Kennedy and Shannon Smith provided a beautiful baby shower for Rev. Jonathan and Lauren.  The wardens decorated the room and tables with a sweet baby shower theme. During dessert a stunning pink "Welcome Baby Pinkney" cake was brought out. Well done, the cake was gorgeous! 

Veronica's speech to the "parents to be"  was very moving as she presented a gift of an RESP on behalf of the parish to Rev. Jonathan and Lauren. Jonathan and Lauren were deeply moved by the gift and outpouring of love and support. Many in the crowd had tears in their eyes as well.

Games were next, with a fun Which Parent Knows Best, with Jonathan and Lauren holding up a hand to answer questions like " who will be the first to Google something at 3am" and "who will most likely get up for middle of the night feedings". There was alot of laughter in the crowd during these questions. 

Both Lauren and Rev. Jonathan wanted to commemorate the joyous day with a photo in the Sanctuary with the parish members. Numerous parish members expressed how much fun the day had been.
